Mary "Gerri" Lockman

Mary Geraldine Lockman age 82 of Newaygo died Sunday, May 14, 2023 at home with her family. Gerri was born December 8, 1940 in Grand Rapids the daughter of Phillip and Rosalie (Nicklos) Rincione. She worked for many years at Steelcase. Because of her proud Italian heritage no one ever left Gerri's home hungry. Sweets were always plentiful and given to the children. Gerri’s favorite food group was chocolate. Surviving are her children, John Lockman, Joseph (Anne) Lockman, Christina (Tim) Evola, Theresa Darin; 7 grandchildren, Alicia Burke, Casey (Donovan) Scott, Cody (Jill) Lockman, Katie (Greg) Lockman, Mackenzie (Matthew) Lockman, Brianna (Khalil) Darin, Dominic Darin; 4 great grandchildren, Baylee, Patrick, Ozwald, MaryKay; sister, Jennie Streeter; very special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Ronald, sisters, Beatrice, Nancy, Rosie, Frances, Josephine. The family will greet friends 6:00-8:00 pm Tuesday, May 16 at K.E. Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs. The funeral service will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, May 17 at Bethel Lutheran Church, 18669 W. M46, Howard City with visitation at 10:00 am. Pastor Richard Townes, officiating. Interment Aetna Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Lutheran Church.
