Mary Kay Bolen age 91 of Grand Rapids, formerly of her beloved Baptist Lake, passed away Thursday, September 8, 2022 at her home at Villa Maria Retirement Community. She was born December 2, 1930 in Cincinnati, Ohio the daughter of Clarence and Roberta (Harper) Maly. Mary Kay was very strong in her faith and a devout Catholic. Her faith and family were very important to her. She was loved by many. It goes without saying, if you met her once, you loved her. Surviving are her children, Timothy (Susan) Bolen, Jeffrey (Dawn) Bolen, Steven (Leslie) Bolen, Catherine (Robert) Besemer, James (Joan) Bolen, Susan (Jeff) Estle, Joseph (Lydia) Bolen; 24 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter; several great friends and extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas in 1998, son, Edwin in 1993; 1 sister and 3 brothers. A special thanks to Primary Care and Spectrum Health Hospice for their care. Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 13 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday 11:00 am at Mary Queen of Apostles, Sand Lake. Rev. Fr. Lam Le celebrant. Interment Resurrection Cemetery, Grand Rapids.
