Mary Jo Roberts

Mary Jo Roberts age 87 of Cedar Springs, died Sunday, December 11, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born May 6, 1935 in Sand Lake, MI the daughter of Fred and Iva (Hunter) Misner. Mary Jo had worked as a cook and waitress at Howard Johnsons and in the Deli Department at D&W Foods. She was a huge Detroit Tiger fan, great cook and her family meant everything to her. Surviving are her children, Barbara (Thomas) Hoffman, Cindy Anderson, Scott (Jodie) Roberts, Mark Roberts, Donette (Wayne) VanderHout; 16 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; grandson, Brant Anderson; niece, Nicole Wiggers and nine siblings. The family will greet friends Thursday, December 15 from 6-8 pm at the K.E. Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs. The service will be held Friday 11:00 am at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 180 Northland Dr. Sand Lake, with viewing one hour before. Pastor Aaron Spratling officiating. Interment Sand Lake Cemetery. Memorials may be made to West Michigan Area Agency on Aging.
