Mary Jane Spence

Mary Jane Spence 82 of Pierson, died peacefully on Sunday morning, September 27, 2020 at her home. She was born July 21, 1938 in Pontiac, MI the daughter of Donald and Ilda (Mellick) Shroll. “Jane” was very kind hearted, loved her family and friends, animals, flower gardening and could bake anything to perfection. Her door was always open and there was always a cup of coffee waiting. Surviving are her husband of 62 years, Eric Dale; children, Ericanne (John Shaw) Spence, Melissa (Raymond) McCahill, Melanie (Mark) Gould, Dana (Diane) Spence; grandchildren, Caitlin (Daniel) Kuk, Rachel (Jonathan) Ashford, Patrick (Mandy Enos) McCahill, Hannah (Derek Paepke) Gould, Emily (Cameron) Hysell, and Claudia, Noel, Owen and Allison Spence; great grandchildren, Madison, Morgan, Trenton, Ember and J.J.; siblings, Sally Bucholtz, Nancy Bailey, Michael (Sharilyn) Shroll; many nieces and nephews. A special thank you to Heartland Hospice for their thoughtful and thorough care during this time. Cremation has taken place and a private ceremony will be held a Pierson Cemetery.
