Mary "Dee" Conaty

Mary Delores “Dee” Conaty age 78 of Cedar Springs died peacefully Friday, March 17, 2023 at her home. She was born November 4, 1944 in Denver, Colorado the daughter of Charles and Antonia (Mora) Gomez. Dee was very proud of her career in hospitality, from waitressing, hosting, and banquet management she has done it all. She enjoyed sharing stories of her experiences working at the Pantlind, Bill Knapp’s, Ducks, Duba’s, and The Legend. Surviving are her children, Gina (John) VanHemert, Jeff (Kim) Conaty; grandchildren, Nick (Randi) VanHemert, Mike (Heather) VanHemert, Jesse (Jessica) VanHemert, Shannon Conaty; sister, Carmen Moreno; step children, Cheryl (Dave) Bylenga, Mark (Karen) Conaty, Craig (Jackie) Conaty; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Conaty, grandson Tyler Conaty, brothers, Chuck and Dan Gomez. Per Dee’s wishes cremation has taken place. The family will have services at a later date. Arrangements by K.E. Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs.
