Mary Ann Cichewicz

Mary Ann Cichewicz, 74 of Pierson died Monday, May 2, 2016 at her home. Mary Ann was born July 15, 1941 in Kalamazoo, MI the daughter of Howard and Norene (Creek) Hansen. She graduated from Catholic Central High School, Aquinas College and U of M with her Master's degree. She taught first grade for Grand Rapids Public Schools. She also was a CCD teacher and RCIA instructor. Mary Ann was a member of Mary Queen of Apostles and volunteered at both church and school. She gave generously of her time, talents and love. Surviving are her husband of 47 years, Robert; sons, Robert II (Laura), William (Billie Jean); grandchildren, Lincoln, Jackson, McKinley, Harrison, Willa and Ainsley; brother, Howard (Terri) Hansen; sister, Christine (Richard) Proudlock; aunt, Lottie Rollins; cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. The family will greet friends Thursday from 5-8 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs where a Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday 10:30 am at Mary Queen of Apostles, Sand Lake. Rev. Fr. Lam Le, Rev. Fr. Joseph Kenshol and Rev. Fr. William Zink co-celebrants.
