Marvin Lee Helton

Marvin L. Helton age 91 of Newaygo, died Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at Fountainview Retirement Village, Grant. Marvin was born July 23, 1930 in Temple, GA. He was an artillery trainer in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked at American Seating for 38 years retiring in 1990. He was a hard worker and could build or engineer anything. Surviving are his wife, Marilyn (Bergman); children, Connie (Newell) Snyder, Ron (Lin) Helton; grandchildren, Shannon Helton, Kristen (Eric) Deford; step grandchildren, TJ Qualman, Mike (Deb) Snyder, Tina (Doug) Timmers; great grandchildren, Bryelle and Grayson; step great grandchildren. The family will greet friends Sunday, October 17 from 2:00 until time of closing prayer at 3:00 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs. Pastor Larry Young officiating. Private family interment at Crandall Cemetery, Ensley Township.
