Martin P. Liniewski

Martin P. Liniewski age 69 of Rockford, died Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at St. Ann’s Home, Grand Rapids. He was born July 26, 1952 in Detroit, MI the son of Leonard and Mary (Dolot) Liniewski. He worked for Chrysler Corporation for 31 years retiring in 2008. Marty was active in Boy Scouts for 17 years and an Assistant Scout Master. He loved the Beatles and had a big sense of humor. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and sailing. He was a handyman and built his home in Lapeer County. Marty was a Detroit Tigers and Lions fan and was always there for everyone else. Family and faith were very important to him and he was very involved in his church. He was the best husband and dad. Surviving are his wife, Katherine; children, Zach (Jennifer) Liniewski, Kaitlyn (Trevor) Sundelius; granddaughter, Caroline; siblings, Lynette Rae, Michelle (Anthony) Stanek, Patricia (Arthur) Skogsberg, Stanley (Kristi) Dolot. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Michael Rae. The family will greet friends Friday, Dec. 17 from 10:00 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Consolation, Rockford. Rev. Fr. Dominic Couturier and Rev. Fr. Stephen Durkee con-celebrating. Interment Courtland Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the San Juan Diego Academy and Corpus Christi Catholic School or the Michigan Parkinson Foundation.
