Marsha L. Rose

Marsha L. Rose age 71 of Howard City passed away at her home on October 24, 2018. She was born November 5, 1946 in Frankfort, MI the daughter of Roy and Pearl (Cady) Kuenzer. She graduated at the top of her class in Bear Lake High School. She went on to become a registered nurse from Hackley Hospital School of Nursing in Muskegon. She followed her nursing career and joined the Army and then later joined the Army Reserves during the Vietnam War. Her compassion to help others continued on until retiring from Metropolitan Hospital. She worked many positions in the course of her career. She was loved and will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her mother, Pearl Kuenzer; children, Pam (Doug) Hoekstra, Tim Rose and Gregory Rose; grandchildren, Christina Houghton, Brandon Houghton, Kelsey (Lee) Frisbey and Tyler Bassett; great grandchildren, Camden, Adabelle, Weston, Brayden and Natalee; brother, George Kuenzer and sister, Leola (Gary) Edens. She was preceded in death by her dad, Roy Kuenzer and brother, Byron Kuenzer. A time to celebrate her life will be held Saturday, November 24 from 1-3 pm at the Courtland Township Hall, 7450 – 14 Mile Road, Rockford. Military honors by the Kent County Veterans Honor Guard will conclude the gathering at 3:00 pm. Arrangements by Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs.
