Marlene “Kay” Hofman age 85 of Wyoming, formerly of Byron Center, entered the gates of Heaven on Thursday, December 7, 2023. She was born November 29, 1938 in Grand Rapids, MI the daughter of Doug and Alta Mae (Kuiper) Dulyea. Kay was the youngest of four daughters. She met Bob when she was in high school and they married in 1955. They raised three children together. Kay was a homemaker her whole life and took great pride in the home she and Bob created. Among Kay’s many gifts was the gift of hospitality. She was the perfect hostess as she and Bob entertained many friends and customers over their many years in business. Kay loved shopping for antiques and Native American items she collected and had great taste in decorating her home. Her greatest legacy is the pride and unconditional love she had for her family. With each visit, you felt like you were “her favorite”. She always put others first. Her sense of humor was evident even as her health was declining and she found comfort and peace in reading her devotions each day. Kay will be lovingly missed by her husband of 68 years, Bob; three children, Rob (Lori) Hofman, Lorie (Rick) Bowerman, Kurt (Darcy) Hofman; 8 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren on the way; sister, Bonnie Shade; many nieces and nephews.
