Mark Alan DeWeese, 49 of Pierson, died Monday, May 12, 2008 at his home. Mark was born November 19, 1958 in Grand Rapids, MI. He loved hunting, fishing, quading, riding Goldie (his harley), and doing anything with those he loved. He owned his own business, DeWeese Bros Drilling for 13 years and most recently worked as an electrician apprentice at Ochodnicky Electric. Surviving are his best friend for 27 years and wife of 19 years, Joanne S. DeWeese; 1 stepson, Mario Solano; 4 grandchildren, Destiny, Kali, Antonio, and Quentin; mother and stepfather, Joyce & Ted Offley; 2 sisters, Colleen & Jim Lomonaco, Doreen & Don Johnson; 1 brother, David & Wendy DeWeese; 1 sister-in-law, Lisa DeWeese; mother-in-law, Darlene & Les Lemon; sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda & Don McEntee, Robert Goorhouse, Deb & Gary Ritsema, Rick Goorhouse; stepbrothers, Brian Kelly, Kevin & Michelle Kelly, Todd & Laurie Kelly; 20 nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews; and Rosie, his beagle. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard W. Kelly and a brother, Steven Dale DeWeese. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs, where services will be held Wednesday 10:00 am.
