Marjorie Joy Cole, age 92 of Cedar Springs passed into the arms of her savior Jesus on Wednesday, July 1, 2026. She was born in Cedar Springs on February 16, 1934, the daughter of the late Henry and Edith (Clemons) Zank. Marjorie attended Cedar Springs Public School and on December 23, 1950, she married Preston R. Cole. Preston and Marjorie made their home in Cedar Springs and raised their four children there. Marjorie was an amazing cook; her jello salads and scalloped potatoes were the best. She was a member of Pilgrim Bible Church and enjoyed playing the organ and singing hymns.
Surviving are her children, Preston S. (Teresa) Cole of Mancelona, Craig (Brenda) Cole, Brian Cole and Kimberly Cole all of Cedar Springs; six grandchildren, Triston (Stacy) Cole, Tyler Cole, Trevon (Jessica) Cole, Tianne (Rob) Varicak, Wesley (Destinee) Cole, Katie (Josh) Zwinger; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her husband, Preston “Pep” Cole; brother, James (Dorothy) Zank; sister, Delores (Vernon) Eldred, Dorothy Zank; and brother-in-law Vernon Eldren.
Memorial contributions can be made in Marjorie’s name to Pilgrim Bible Church or Faith Hospice.
The family will greet friends 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 9 at Pilgrim Bible Church, 361 W. Pine St. NE, Cedar Springs, MI 49319, followed by the memorial service at 11:00 a.m. Officiating Pastor David Ward. Interment Elmwood Cemetery.
