Marion Liley, born July 10, 1953, passed away unexpectedly, Monday, May 4, 2026 leaving behind a family and community who loved her deeply and will miss her greatly.
Marion was the daughter of Rodney and Arlene (Cole) Liley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robin Moesta, who passed away in 1983.
Marion dedicated much of her career to caring for others as an LPN at Metron of Cedar Springs. She cared for her geriatric patients as though they were her own parents, showing compassion, patience, and kindness to those who depended on her. In more recent years, she worked at Citgo gas station, where she became well known for her kindness and ability to remember so many customers by name. She truly enjoyed the conversations and connections she made with people every day.
Marion had a deep love for animals, especially cats. She was the type of person who would give the shirt off her back to help someone in need and was always willing to put others before herself.
Although Marion did not have children of her own, she loved her family fiercely and treated her nieces and nephew — Wendy Rivera, Amie Drake, and Jason Harriman — like her own children. She attended school events whenever she could, took them roller skating growing up, and was always present for important milestones including weddings, the births of children, holidays, and family gatherings.
Marion shared a particularly close bond with her sister, Sharon Harriman. After the passing of Sharon’s husband in 2024, the sisters lived together and were able to spend even more time together supporting one another and sharing everyday life.
Marion will be remembered as loving, caring, particularly sassy, and known for her dry sense of humor. She always made sure everyone had enough to eat and could usually be found cleaning up after meals and celebrations while continuing conversations with those she loved. Her warmth, humor, and caring heart touched many lives.
She will be deeply missed by her sister, nieces, nephew, many great-nieces and great-nephews, extended family, friends, and all who knew her.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 14 at 11:00 a.m. at Solon Cemetery, with a luncheon for close family and friends to follow.
The family respectfully requests that there be no livestreaming, recording, or picture taking during the ceremony.
Arrangements by K.E. Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs.
