Marion E. Alexander

Marion E. Alexander age 91 passed away Monday, April 21, 2025 at Bishop Hills Assisted Living. She was born July 30, 1933 in Morley, MI the daughter of William and Martha (Graham) Andrews. She graduated from Howard City High School in 1951 and owned and operated the Howard City Bowling Alley with her husband, Carl from 1956 – 75. She worked at Gibson’s in Greenville, Haiti Baptist Mission and White Creek Country Estates. She took 18 missionary trips to Haiti and was very involved in her church, Grace Evangelical Free Church. Surviving are her grandchildren, Michael (Laurie) VandenAkker, James VandenAkker, Terri (Lonnie) Collins, Sandy May, Scott (Tracy) VandenAkker; many great and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl and a sister, Betty. Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 29 from 11:00 am until time of service at 12:00 pm at the K.E. Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs. Pastor Kevin Reed officiating. Private interment Rockford Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Evangelical Free Church, 4714 13 Mile Road, Rockford, MI 49341.
