Marilyn R. Magnuson

Marilyn R. Magnuson age 73 of Cedar Springs, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, December 5, 2017. Marilyn was born June 4, 1944 in Grand Rapids, MI the daughter of Gelmer and Marian (Burmania) VanNoord. She was an art teacher at Potters House and enjoyed painting, pottery and photography. She was a member of North Kent Community Church and had a love for the Lord and a burden for Youth. She was a founding member of EnGedi Youth Center in Cedar Springs. Surviving are her children, Scott (Sonya) Magnuson, Michelle (Craig) Carter, Matt Magnuson, Mike (Kasey) Magnuson; grandchildren, Andrew, Annelle, Joel, Leah, Anna, Aaron, Elijah and Harper; great grandson, Roman; brothers, Paul (Debbie) VanNoord, Glenn (Micki) VanNoord; sister, Elaine Schipper. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter-in-law, Lizbeth Magnuson; brother-in-law, Dave Schipper. The family will greet friends Saturday from 9-11 am at New Life Christian Fellowship, 2777 Knapp St. NE, Grand Rapids where a memorial service will be held at 11:00 am.
