Margaret I. Walenga

Margaret I. Walenga age 92 of Sand Lake, died Sunday, April 28, 2019. Mrs. Walenga was born August 12, 1926 in Detroit, MI the daughter of August and Mary (Johnson) Johnson. She was a member of Mary Queen of Apostles, the Ladies Guild and an avid golfer and bowler. She also enjoyed country painting and drove a school bus for Grand Rapids Public Schools for 25 years. Surviving are her children, David (Doreen) Walenga, Thomas Walenga & Sharon VanDyke, Patti (Scott) Canton; 8 grandchildren; several great and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald in 2003; 2 grandsons, Zachary Thomas Walenga and Scott Trout. The family will greet friends Thursday from 10:00 am until time of Mass at 11:00 am at Mary Queen of Apostles Catholic Church, 1 W. Maple St, Sand Lake. Rev. Fr. Lam Le officiating.
