Livestream link for service at TribuCast Marcia (Tiethof) Gould, age 85, passed away on Friday, January 13, 2023 and went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was the daughter of John Tiethoff and Dorothy Palecki. She is lovingly-remembered by her five surviving children, Kathleen Heyrman, Michael (Amy) Kelley, Sean Kelley, Ryan (Jody) Kelley and Lucia (Richard) Thenikl; siblings, Jack (Anita) Tiethof, Patti (Jerry) Rennau, Ruth (Rusty) Kaufman, John Tiethoff; sister-in-law, Mary Tiethoff; step-father, Ted Palecki; step-mother, Dorothy Tiethoff; grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Marcia was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Craig Palecki and Art Tiethoff; son, Patrick Kelley; and grandsons, Terry Tufnell and Connor Geddry. During Marcia’s final days, she was attended to very lovingly by her cousin, Nancy Koetsier, her children, Careline Hospice and the Mission Point caregivers. Marcia was born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She was the 1954 Homecoming Queen of Union High School. She also lived much of her adult life near Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Marcia was an eccentric person and interacted with the world in an intriguing way. She saw all people as precious children of God. Marcia enjoyed: painting, writing poetry, writing letters-to-the-editor in her local newspaper, being out with nature, working in the mental health industry, and serving as a lay-pastor as well as an elected County Commissioner. A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2023 from 11:00 am until time of memorial service at 12:00 pm at K.E. Pike Funeral Home, 13603 Northland Drive NE, Cedar Springs, MI 49319.
