MacKenzie Rose See-Bee-Qua Saboo MacKenzie‘s sacred fire was lit Wednesday, May 12, 2021 to help her on her final earthly journey to our creator. She will sadly be missed by her daughter, Mia Koda; mother, Donna; father, Henry; sister, Alec; brother-in-law, Bruce; nephew, Riley; niece, Jade GelderBloom; sister, Kesis (Charles); and uncle Joe, Jude, Melanie, Joey Saboo, Jake and Amanda Otten, a very special friend Chase and many cousins. MacKenzie was a proud tribal member of the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians. She enjoyed helping out at the elder luncheons and going to the powwows, taking Koda to the lake, attending regalia classes, reading together and playing in the sun. Her sense of humor was like a flower, bright and colorful and unique. She would call Koda her little shadow, always together, they were a great team. They were very adventurous and creative. Oh, how she loved her music. She was willing to give unconditional love and help to us all. She was an amazingly strong, yet humble native qua. She valued the wisdom and knowledge of her elders, in this life as well as those who have walked on. They will continue to teach her in her spirit life. We will greatly miss this amazingly beautiful ever forgiving Anishnabe qua. Baa Maa Pii sis. The family will greet friends Wednesday, May 19 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs. There will be no formal service. Private interment Bay Mills Cemetery
