Louis J. Nice

Louis J. Nice age 46 of Allendale, died Saturday, January 25, 2025 at his home with loved ones near. Louis, known by many as L.J. or Louie and to close family as Joe, was born August 20, 1978 to loving parents Louis and Beverly (Ruschkewicz) Nice in Manistee, MI.

Lou is survived by his wife of 10 years Corey; beloved children Chloe, Lillienne, Jax, Josephine Nice, step-son Aiden Yakel; loving siblings Paula, Leah, Joey, Judi, Ryan, and Kayla Nice. He is preceded in death by his father Louis Nice, parents Herbert and Beverly Lawe, and dear son Reece Anthony Nice.

A talented sportsman and lover of all things outdoors, Louie enjoyed his time hunting white tail, fishing the Muskegon and off-roading in the trails and mud pits throughout West Michigan. More than anything, Louis will have loved most his time spent with his amazing children, loving family, and dearest friends. Lou will be remembered for his generosity and hospitable nature through his love of sharing amazing food and memorable experiences with so many great people. L.J. had a strong work ethic, kind disposition, and sharp sense of humor that served him well in fostering so many amazing relationships and building a community of people who genuinely love, respect, and appreciate him. We are all deeply saddened by the tremendous loss of our dear friend, brother and Father leaving us so soon, but can take comfort in knowing that he is at peace and home in the loving presence of his family whom he has missed so much.

The family will greet friends and loved ones Thursday, January 30, from 5 - 7pm at K.E. Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs, where the service will be held Friday 11:00 am. Private Family interment in Reynolds Cemetery, Howard City next to beloved son, Reece Anthony Nice.
