Loralee Nauta-Lesert age 67 of Kent City, died Sunday, September 8, 2024 at home surrounded by her family. She was born May 4, 1957 in Salt Lake City, UT the daughter of Fred Jay and Nancy (Jones) Nauta. She had worked in Aero-Space for Northrup in California in the 1980’s and 90’s. She was very involved in the Cedar Springs Red Flannel Festival Committee and served as treasurer. Loralee was Women’s Auxiliary President for Cedar Springs American Legion Post #287 and a member of Comstock Park American Legion Post #47. She loved margaritas, crafting, gardening, flowers, puzzles and crosswords. Surviving are husband, Jeffrey; children, Jessica McCloud, Katie (Robert) Hankinson, Maria (Roman) Zehner; grandchildren, Patrick (Gen), Lilly McCloud, Robert, Vivian and Tori Hankinson, Gabi Zehner; siblings, F. Jay (Lisa) Nauta, Trudy (John) Parker-Bridges, Tony (Melissa) Parker, Dan (Marilyn) Pagel. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nancy (Frank) Pagel and Jay (Nita) Nauta; sister, Sharon Lesert. The family will greet friends Thursday, September 12 from 5 – 7 pm at the K.E. Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs where the service will be held Friday 11:00 am. Pastor Harriet Sturim officiating. Interment Idlewild Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
