Lois Jean Collis age 80 of Cedar Springs, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 surrounded by love. She was born January 14, 1941 in Berkley, CA the daughter of Ruben and Evelyn (Johnson) Polikowsky and moved to Ferndale, MI in 1945. Lois married her loving husband, Gerald “Jerry” in 1982 and moved to Grand Rapids in 1983 to open the Clock Restaurant on Alpine Avenue. She cherished her long relationships with the special employees and customers. Her and Jerry enjoyed many retirement years traveling to Florida with sister Darlene and brother-in-law, Jim. She loved gardening, arts and crafts, garage sales, bingo and games. She especially enjoyed a good recipe. Lois was a wonderful wife. Surviving are her husband, Jerry; daughters, Kim (Steve) Anderson, Kathy (Tom) Hill, Rebecca Collis; 9 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; sister, Verna Satterfield; several nieces and nephews; good friend, Cindy Nagelkerk and great neighbors, Shelly and Mark Price. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Vicki Johnson-Becker; sister, Darlene Duncan; brother, Jim Polikowsky. A private family service will be held Friday, August 13 with burial in Solon Township Cemetery. Pastor Michelle Vallier officiating.
