Lloyd D. Houghton

Lloyd D. Houghton age 88 of Sand Lake, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at Corewell Health Butterworth Campus. He was born February 26, 1935 in Ensley Township, MI the son of Sylvester and Elsie (Overla) Houghton. He served in the U.S. Marines during the Korean War. Lloyd worked for Wolverine World Wide for 29 years and was a dairy farmer for 30 years. Surviving are his wife, Mazel (Bryant) who he married on December 20, 1953; children, Denise Houghton & Mike Ursul, Annette (Mark) Fifield who he had a special relationship with, Jereme Houghton; daughter-in-law, Esther Houghton; special neighbors, Clint Chilcote and Jake Beemer; 9 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter; sisters-in-law, Pat Houghton, Lois Houghton, Jackie Houghton; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Mark; grandson, Tyler; 11 brothers and sisters; special neighbor, Tim Chilcote. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, November 4 at 4:00 pm at Huggard Bible Church, 8860 21 Mile Road, Sand Lake. A luncheon will follow the service. Pastor Jonathan Clear officiating. Interment Fr. Custer National Cemetery, Augusta. Memorial contributions may be made to Huggard Bible Church. Arrangements by K.E. Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs.
