Lillian M. Atwood

Lillian M. Atwood, age 91 of Rockford, passed away Saturday, October 15, 2016 at her home. Mrs. Atwood was born May 18, 1925 in Rockford, MI the daughter of Earl and Lyndia (Bailey) Dunn. She graduated from Rockford High School and was a member of Rockford Baptist Church. Along with her husband, Clifford, she owned and operated a Service Station in downtown Rockford and had also worked for Rockford Ambulance for many years. She was very active in her church and community. Surviving are her children, Dennis (Robin), Gary (Nida), Kathy (Ed) Payton, Timothy (Toni), Douglas (Susan); 17 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; brothers, David Dunn, Daniel (Char) Dunn; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford in 2003; daughter, Terrill; seven brothers and sisters. The family will greet friends Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs. The service will be held Thursday 11:00 am at Rockford Baptist Church. Pastor Justin Rowland officiating. Interment Rockford Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hope Network Side by Side Day Program.
