Lewis J. Johnson

Lewis J. Johnson age 87 of Cedar Springs died Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at home surrounded by his family. Lewis was born July 19, 1934 in Grand Rapids, MI the son of Clifton and Lucy (Ellsworth) Johnson. He worked at Michigan Industrial Packing for over 25 years. He loved singing hymns and was known as the bagging singer at Family Fare in Cedar Springs. Lewis was a big Tigers and Lions fan and a longtime member of Ensley Baptist Church. Surviving are his loving wife of 67 years, Audrey; children, Paul Johnson, Lois (Craig) Timmer, Thomas (Christi) Johnson, Ginger (Charlie) Phillips; 11 grandchildren; brothers, Cliff (Judy) Johnson, Jud (Linda) Johnson; many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Also his dog Bandit, lovingly referred to as “Grandpa’s Girl.” Services will be held later in the spring. Arrangements by Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home Cedar Springs.
