Leland Richard Wells

Leland Richard Wells, 87 of Sand Lake, died Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus. Leland was born June 30, 1922 in Hamtramck, MI the son of Leonard Wells and Vera (Jackson) Wells. He was raised on a farm in Croton, was a World War II army veteran and worked for the railroad as an engineer. He retired as a truck driver. Surviving are his children, Michael & Wendy Wells, Wesley & Mary Wells, Leonard Wells, Beverly & Brian Somers, Kristina & Richard Houck and 8 grandchildren. The family will greet friends on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m. at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs. Pastor James Ankerberg officiating.
