Lawrence “Larry” Wahoski, 65 of Howard City, died Sunday, December 20, 2009 at his home. Mr. Wahoski was born September 11, 1944 in Hamtramck, MI the son of Alex and Helen (Andras) Wahoski. He was a veteran of Vietnam serving in the U.S. Marines and Navy Reserves. He retired from General Motors in Grand Rapids in 2000. He was a member of St. Clara’s Catholic Church, Coral. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, riding his Harley Ultra and loved his HOG family. He was full of life and adored his family and grandchildren to whom he was affectionately known as “Papa.” Surviving are his wife, Harriet (Moisides); children, Denise & Bill Julius of Sterling Heights, MI, Timothy Wahoski and Julie of Cedar Springs, and Steve and Shannon Wahoski of Clinton Township, MI; 5 grandchildren, Skyler Wahoski, Kristen Julius, Ryan Julius, Mason Wahoski and Devon Wahoski; brothers, Orville Wahoski and Richard Wahoski; and sister, Winnie “Lucille” Koch. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5-8 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs, where a rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday 11:00 am at Mary Queen of Apostles, Sand Lake with Rev. Fr. Joseph W. Kenshol celebrant. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Sand Lake. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Clara’s Church or the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCan).
