Lavern "Bill" Avery

LaVern “Bill” Avery, 66 of Cedar Springs, died Monday, March 3, 2008 at his home. Bill was born September 21, 1941 the son of Preston and Sylvia (Wilson) Jensen. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during the Vietnam War. Surviving are one daughter and her husband, Amy Avery and Jason Farrand of Grand Rapids; 1 grandson, Cash Farrand. The family will receive friends Thursday from 11:00 am until time of funeral service at 1:00 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs, Fr. John Kirkman officiating. Interment Elmwood Cemetery, Cedar Springs. Memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans.
