His love of people made him well suited to his job as salesman at Wallace Pontiac for 29 years. When Wallaces closed he worked at VanderHyde Ford for 9 years. After retiring as salesman, he joined Louise in her restaurant, Kelly’s in Cedar Springs where he loved seating customers and visiting with friends he made there. He also became famous for his chicken with biscuit and gravy special he made on Sundays. In 1992 they sold the restaurant and traveled with friends on short trips so he could get home to tend the yard and the flower gardens. People enjoyed driving by their home. During retirement he had fun working and golfing at Cedar Chase Golf Course and loved spending time with the friends he made there. Michael at Cedar Chase was very good to Ken, dedicating the 17th hole to him with a memorial garden in honor of the 2 holes in one he had on that hole. He is a well loved husband and father.
