Kenneth D. Latham, 79 of Cedar Springs, died Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at Spectrum Health, Butterworth Campus. He now joins the choirs of heaven at Easter to sing with his beautiful tenor voice. Mr. Latham was born July 20, 1931 in Wellsville, NY the son of Parish and Helen (Swan) Latham. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving at the time of Korean War where he traveled with the Red Diamond Chorus throughout Europe helping to heal the wounds of the previous war, World War II. He had retired from General Motors Delco Products in Rochester, NY. Surviving are his wife, Mary Ann (Kiffer) whom he married on July 19, 1952; daughter, Kim Burge of Cedar Springs; grandchildren, Joshua Burge of Grand Rapids; Rebekah Burge of Cedar Springs; brother, William Latham of Portland, OR; sister, Pauline Freemesser of Rochester, NY; brothers-in-law, Dr. Theodore Kiffer of State College, PA, Rev. D.M. Kiffer of Titusville, PA; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death his parents; son, Gregory in 1980; sister, Helen Voegtle; brother, Thomas Latham. Visitation and services will be held at the Wimer Funeral Home in Tionesta, PA on Saturday, April 23, 2011. Interment Kiffer Hill Cemetery, Tionesta, PA. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cedar Springs Public Library. Local arrangements by Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs.
