Kenneth Edward Bergman age 67 of Sand Lake, died unexpectedly, Monday, February 16, 2026 at Butterworth Hospital. He was born February 24, 1958 in Stanwood, the son of Kenneth and Linda (Neve) Bergman. Ken graduated from high school while he was stationed in Okinawa, Japan while he was enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. Ken and his wife April were members of the Eagle Club FOE #4467 in Sand Lake for over 20 years and proud Eagle Riders. Ken loved to ride his motorcycle all over Michigan but especially to the U.P. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing keno, pool and gambling. He had a passion for golf and was a diehard Detroit Lions fan. Ken had a wonderful sense of humor and liked to pick on people. He was known in the family as the “wet willy guy.” Ken cherished the time he spent with his family. He will be missed by all who loved him.

Ken is survived by his beloved wife of 13 years, April; daughter, Misti (Tony) Keller; grandchildren, Chase, Cody; siblings, Scott (Martha) Bergman, Mark Bergman, Maryanne (Timothy) Newland, Stacy (Cyrus) Waldron; mother-in-law, Maggie DeRuiter; sister-in-law, Jodi (Jim Rowland) DeRuiter; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda (Charlie) Buckley; father, Kenneth (Rose) Bergman; aunt, Joyce Bergman; niece, Rebekah Bergman; nephew, Chad Rowland; father-in-law, Glenn DeRuiter; sisters-in-law, Lisa Bergman and Sundy Crosslan.

Per Ken’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services at this time.
