Kelly Ann Cook

December 12, 1967 — February 27, 2021

Kelly Ann (Nosker) Cook, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at the age of 53 after a struggle with leukemia. She was born in Grand Rapids, MI, but spent most of her childhood years on the mission field, primarily in Venezuela (with shorter terms in Mexico and Bolivia). Sent by Magnify Church (formerly Blythefield Hills Baptist Church), Rockford, MI, Kelly Ann and her husband Dan have served in Brazil with church planting, camp ministry and leadership training since 1994. Most recently, Kelly served alongside Dan in his role of Regional Director for the Caribbean and Central America (CCAM) and worked with the Good Soil Ministry of ABWE, focused on evangelism and discipleship training. Kelly was diagnosed with cancer in 2019 and was admitted to hospice care one week prior to her passing. As the family continued to post updates on Kelly’s condition to their “Care for Kelly” Facebook page, each post was marked with #ChooseJoy—expressing the Cooks’ unwavering hope in Christ through trial. Kelly is survived by her husband, Dan; children, Alex (Kate) Cook, Patricia “Tricia” (Trevor) Florida, Danielle “Dani” (Will) Brown; two grandsons, Levi and Dane; parents, Robert and Patricia Nosker; brothers, Ken (Arlene) Nosker and Kieth (Susan) Nosker and their respective families. A celebration of Kelly’s life will be held on Monday, April 12, 2021 at 7:00 pm at Magnify Church, 6727 Kuttshill Dr. NE Rockford, MI. The service will be live streamed at https://magnifychurch.org/kelly-cook-funeral/. In lieu of flowers and in keeping with Kelly’s wishes, the family has requested that condolence gifts be made on her behalf to Camp Paradise in northeast Brazil https://www.abwe.org/work/projects/camp-paradise-recife. Today we rejoice that Kelly served the Lord Jesus Christ with joy and perseverance, setting an example for her children and making an eternal impact.
