Katherine E. Hoxsie

Katherine E. Hoxsie age 90 of Cedar Springs died Wednesday, January 1, 2025 at home surrounded by her family. She was born on July 17, 1934 in Coral, MI the daughter of John and Bessie (Thompson) Miles. She was a fabulous cook and homemaker for her family. She enjoyed cooking and gardening with her husband Reuben. They traveled around the United States showing horses and created many friendships. Surviving are her children, Jan (Keith) Norman, Mike (Tena) Hoxsie, Lori (Kevin) Stout; grandchildren, Todd (Kate) Noman, Kristi Norman, Sara (Adam) Mueller, Matt Murphy, Amanda (Josh) Ulberg, Aaron Hoxsie, Kendall (Vincenzo) Pavano, Sadie (Nick) Caterino, John (Charity) Black, Riley (Tyler) Stout, Andrew Hoxsie;18 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Reuben S. Hoxsie; son, Ronald Hoxsie; siblings, Willis, Samuel, Walter, Don, Melvin, Norman, Gertrude, Agnes and Patricia.

The family will greet friends Tuesday, January 7 from 5:00-7:00 PM with a Rosary at 6:30 PM at K.E. Pike Funeral Home in Cedar Springs. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 8, at St. John Paul II Catholic Church with visitation at 10:00 AM. Father Lam Le, Celebrant. Interment Courtland Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Katherine’s name to the Knights of Columbus.
