Joyce L. Gysin

Joyce L. Gysin age 71 of Grand Rapids, died Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at her home. She was born April 21, 1954 in Grand Rapids, MI the daughter of Carl and Doris (Adams) Meitz. She was a 1972 graduate of Cedar Springs High School. Joyce received an associate degree in Music from Grand Rapids Junior College and a bachelor degree from Baker College. She had worked at Yamaha Instruments in Grand Rapids. She enjoyed singing with the Sweet Adelines and crafting with diamond dots. Surviving are her children, Kelly (Scott) York, David (Emily) Gysin; grandchildren, Joey and Jake York; sister, Cindy (Al) Litwinchuk; brother, Phil Meitz and Tracy; nephew, Pete (Tricia) Litwinchuk; special family friend, Lois Dykstra. She was preceded in death by her parents. The family will greet friends Tuesday, July 29 from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am at the K.E. Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs. Rev. Richard Langhorst officiating. Interment East Nelson Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please bring a new stuffed animal to donate to DeVos Children’s Hospital.
