Josephine M. Brown

Josephine Mary (Golembiewski) Brown, 94 of Cedar Springs, our loving mother and grandmother, passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at her home with her family by her side. Josephine was born March 20, 1920 to John and Alice Maksymowski. She went to heaven to be with her Lord and husbands, Anthony Golembiewski and Peter Brown. Surviving are her three daughters, Alice Rogers and her daughter, Alicia Rogers who were her caregivers, Joyce Petersen, Patsy (Ron) Ladermann; sister, Rose Mulbrecht; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; stepchildren, Ed Brown, Alice Mays, Clara Brown, Allen Brown. She was also preceded by a son, Thomas Rogers; 10 brothers and sisters, stepchildren, Thomas Brown and Russell Brown. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5-7 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs, where a Rosary will be recited at 6:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday 11:00 am at Mary Queen of Apostles Church, Sand Lake. Rev. Fr. Lam Le officiating. Interment Sand Lake Cemetery.
