John H. Mcintyre

John Howard McIntyre age 92 of Sparta died June 4, 2025 at home surrounded by his family. He was born in Cedar Springs on April 29, 1933 the son of George and Beulah (Hunter) McIntyre. John proudly served in the United States Army and National Guard. He spent many years going to Colorado with his brother’s mule deer hunting. John and his family enjoyed many camping trips mostly in Michigan. He occasionally took solo motorcycle camping trips out West. John took pleasure in woodworking and spending time with his loved ones, especially his grandchildren. John had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to pull pranks on his family. He will be missed by all who loved him.

He is survived by his children, Michael (Maruko) McIntyre, Karen (Couy Rhines) McIntyre, Lori McIntyre; grandchildren, Douglas, Nathan, Melissa, Jennifer, Kyle, Amanda; many great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; 10 siblings; several nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Arlene; son, David; siblings, Raymond, Rose, Yvonne, Charles, Edwin, and Carl.

Memorial Service will be held 11:00 am, Friday, June 20 at K.E. Pike Funeral Home in Cedar Springs. Interment, Blythefield Memory Gardens.
