John W. Brookner, age 66 died Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at the Grand Rapids Home for the Veterans. Surviving are two daughters, Kristin Lautner of Traverse City and Karin Brookner of Grawn. Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at 12 Noon until time of service at 1:00 pm at the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans Chapel. Chaplain John Poston officiating. Interment in the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans Cemetery. Military honors by the Kent County Veterans Honor Guard. Arrangements by Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs.
