Joann E. Reynolds

JoAnn E. (Carey) Reynolds age 85, died Tuesday, May 6, 2025 in Big Rapids. She was born March 19, 1940 in Dayton, OH, the daughter of Robert and Iona (Titcombe) Riggs. She owned and operated JoAnn’s Tax Service for 35 years in Morley. JoAnn was very involved with 4-H, being a group leader for many years. She enjoyed tending to her vegetable and flower gardens. JoAnn was an avid reader and loved to play cards, games and do crafts with her children and grandchildren. She will be missed by all who loved her.

She is survived by her loving and caring husband of seven years, Keith; children Bruce Carey, Linda (Dave) Steenstra, Pam (Brett) Goddard; grandchildren, Amanda (Brandon) Goodfellow, Zane (Bre) Carey, Tyler (Niyole) Kuzee, Ethan (Ashley) Goddard, Morgan (Jason Brooks) Goddard; great-grandchildren, Caroline, Colt, Eleanor, Vianna, Esmae, Corbin, Maddie; step-children, Nathan (Jan) Moore, Eric (Cathy) Moore siblings, Bill (Char) Riggs, Charlie (Barbara) Riggs; special Lucas cousins, Bill, Pete (Sharon), Martha, Barb, John (Sharon), Jane (Bill); Carey-in-laws, Stan (Helen), Larry (Edee), Marie (Don); former husband, Fred Carey; daughter-in-law, Sandy (Brian) Hatchew; sister-in-law, Paula Pond; many nieces and nephews. JoAnn was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Moore; in-laws, Robert Carey, Phyllis (Ira) Hall.

Visitation will be held Sunday, May 11 at The Woods Stanwood Free Methodist Church from 5 – 8 p.m. The funeral will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 12 at The Woods. Officiating, Pastor Jim Williams. Interment Stanwood Cemetery. Those wishing to make memorial contributions may be made in JoAnn’s name to The Woods Stanwood Free Methodist Church or the Morley Community Center.
