Joan M. Wainright age 87 of Sand Lake, stepped into glory into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday, November 10, 2023. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, who loved and treasured each of her family, they were always a major part of her life. She was born December 2, 1935 in Nelson Township, Sand Lake, MI the daughter of Ralph and Clara (Plumb) Totten. Joan graduated from Cedar Springs High School in 1953. She was always surrounded by her many friends and neighbors who she cared for deeply. She sincerely loved and placed God first in her life always. She enjoyed traveling and keeping active with her many interests. After 53 years of marriage, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ted in 2007. Also preceding her in death were two brothers, Lloyd and Jack; two sisters, Edna and Ardis. Surviving are a daughter, Catherine; sons, Randy (Karen), Matt (Barb), Jeff; grandchildren, Ted (Marci), Randy (Chrissie), Christy (Pete) Bush, Aaron; four great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; sister, Doris Starr; brother, Bob (Sandy) Totten; sisters-in-law, Leona Wainright and Pat Totten. The family will greet friends Monday, Nov. 13 from 6-8 pm at the K.E. Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs, where the service will be held Tuesday 11:00 am. Viewing will begin Tuesday at 10:00 am. Pastor Gary Giddings officiating. Interment Sand Lake Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Church of the Full Gospel Missionary Fund, 170 E.
