View Photo Tribute Jerome Jr. Phelps, 73 of Cedar Springs, died Sunday, August 19, 2007 at Metron of Cedar Springs. Jr. died peacefully and joins many of his family who had gone before him. He was born February 18, 1934 in Courtland Township, MI the son of Jerome B. and Margaret (Wall) Phelps. Jr. had worked at the Cedar Springs Feed Mill and for his brother at Earl Phelps Mechanical. He was a hard worker and would do anything for his children and grandchildren. Surviving are two daughters, Sherry & Kevin Wright of Cedar Springs, Marilyn & Mike Horton of Sparta; 4 grandchildren, Jeff Wright, Kristy Horton, Charles Howey, and Kenneth Phelps; 1 great grandson, Jordan Howey; 3 brothers, Earl & Joan Phelps, Herbert & Diane Phelps, Glenn & Denise Phelps; 1 sister, Sally & Lester Powell; many nieces and nephews; a special friend, Joyce Reich. He was preceded in death by his wife Helen, a daughter, Kathy Jo Phelps, a granddaughter, Rene Horton, and his parents. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs, www.blisswitterspike.com. The funeral service will be held Thursday 3:00 pm at the United Methodist Church, Cedar Springs. Pastor Brian Rafferty officiating. Interment Courtland Township Cemetery.
