Jean Ann Dolph was born on February 16, 1936 to Jacob and Wilma (Orr/Hayes) Stoutjesdyk in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Jean was the only and much loved child of Jacob and Wilma. She had a delightful personality and was loved very much by everyone who was fortunate enough to know her. She left us too soon on Saturday, January 21, 2023. She spent her childhood in Grand Rapids and then attended Moody Bible Institute in Chicago where she began the great adventure of her life by being married to Thomas Dolph. Together they pastored numerous churches in Indiana and Michigan for over 50 years. They traveled extensively to Hawaii, Alaska, Israel, Brazil and Australia interning as a pastor where needed and visiting missionaries. She loved being a pastor’s wife and it was the calling on her life that she cherished the most until the day she passed. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Thomas, daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and David Harrison of Kent City. Her husband was totally blind the last 3 years of his life and her daughter and her husband died young. She remained faithful to her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ even in the midst of so much pain. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Sandy and Jim Winell of Rockford whom she made her home with for the last 12 years. She also leaves behind the best gifts on earth her grandchildren, Jared and Christina Winell of Kent City, Abby and Dan Vanderson of Ada, her six great grandchildren Anders and Joline Winell, Fitz, Zuri, Fox and Ozzy Vanderson. She invested in the lives of each one of them as the Nana Jean that was always available, always ready to play and prayed for them every day. We will carry on her legacy and are grateful to have been known and loved by her. Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 24 from 6 – 8 pm at the K.E. Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs where the service will be held Wednesday, January 25 at 1:00 pm. Pastor Louie Konopka officiating. Interment Chubbuck Cemetery in the spring. In lieu of flowers the family would love it if you would donate to the Thomas F. Dolph Memorial Scholarship Fund at Kent City Baptist Church, 400 Muskegon St. Kent City MI 49330, which equips future leadership through seminary and graduate training to serve the body of Jesus Christ. Please note scholarship fund in the memo and make checks to Kent City Baptist Church.
