Janet Rae (Schultz) Krupp age 77 of Grand Rapids, died Thursday, September 26, 2019 at Rest Haven Home. She was born in Grand Rapids, MI on November 19, 1941 to Woodrow M. and Dorothy B. (Haag) Schultz. Jan and Dave fostered for 35 years, taking care of 125 babies for D.A. Blodgett- St. John’s. Jan enjoyed sudoku and jigsaw puzzles, sewing, knitting and multiple crafts. She was famous for making her covered hangers, perfecting Grandpa Krupp’s taco recipe and yelling at her grandchildren. Jan was a great cook until she won a microwave on the radio. She would never enjoy being in the car unless Elvis or Tom Jones was playing. Before her health took a turn, she enjoyed going to her grandchildren’s sporting events, concerts and Griffin’s games while still enjoying watching the Red Wings and Tigers. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Woodrow L. Schultz. She is survived by her devoted husband of 58 years David; her children, Kelly (Tom) Dawson, Todd Krupp, Aaron (Erica) Krupp; grandchildren, Danielle, Cassie and Kori Dawson, Megan (Ross) VanderLugt, Jordan, Austin, Nathan, Alicia, Kendall Krupp; sister-in-law, Phyllis Schultz; brother and sister-in-law, Pat and Nancy Krupp; many cousins, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held 10 a.m. Monday, September 30 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 423 1st St. NW, Grand Rapids with a service to follow at 11 a.m. Rev. Dick Host celebrant. Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church or American Diabetes Association.
