James "Vince" Hunter

James Vincent Hunter, aged 54, of Conrad, MT passed away on December 2, 2023, after a courageous battle with Advanced Myeloid Leukemia. Vince was born on October 10, 1969, in Grand Rapids, MI, the son of Jerry and Caroline (Nelson) Hunter. He is survived by his wife, Joanne (Froehlich); stepchildren, Julissa (Nate) Bulmer, Stephanie (Dave) Landis and Jesse (Stephanie) Speer; grandchildren; parents, Caroline and David Bartlette; sister, Lezlie (Doug) Price; brother, Brice Bartlette; nephew, Jesse; nieces, Ashley, Caylyn, and Trisha; special friends, Thad Kruger and Michelle Anderson; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Hunter; brothers, Jerry Dean, and Jeffery; grandparents, Leslie and Leona (Purdy) Hunter and William and Mildred (Remington) Nelson; and stepson, Scott Speer, Jr. Vince was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and camping. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held Saturday, June 22 from 3-5 pm at the home of Dave and Caroline Bartlette in Cedar Springs, MI. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cedar Springs Public School FFA or Athletic Programs.
