James E. Townes

James E. Townes age 72 of Cedar Springs, died Friday, September 29, 2023. He was born May 27, 1951 in Grand Rapids, MI the son of the late Robert and Anna (Seaborn) Townes. Jim’s passion was hunting and fishing with his friends and family. He enjoyed playing and watching sports, gardening and visiting with his friends. He loved his kids and grandkids. Surviving are his children, Jamie (Greg) Boshoven, Jennifer (Shawn) Siminski, Jill Townes, James Townes II; grandchildren, Chase, Christian, Madison, Phoenix, Kennedy, Emma, James III; step grandchildren, Kisewaa, Ayden; siblings, Christine Segard, Victoria Cooper, Larry (Elaine) Townes, Cheryl (Gordon) Pratt, Susanne (Rodney) Mosher, Paul (Tami) Townes; many nieces and nephews. The family will greet friends Tuesday, October 3 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the K.E. Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs where the service will be held Wednesday 11:00 am. Pastor David Ward officiating. Interment Elmwood Cemetery, Cedar Springs. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cedar Springs Fire Department.
