James E. Samsel

James E. Samsel 77 of Gowen, died Friday, December 9, 2016 at his home. Mr. Samsel was born November 18, 1939 in Grand Rapids, MI the son of the late John and Theresa (Kozal) Samsel. He retired from Oliver Machinery and loved hunting, fishing and golfing. Surviving are his wife, Sandra; children, Michael (Pam) Samsel, Timothy (Lisa Petersen) Samsel, Carrie (Greg) Mellema, Douglas (Tonya) Roberts, Christopher (Ginger) Roberts, David (Rachelle) Roberts; 12 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; brother, Ronald (Joan) Samsel and their son, Justin; several nieces and nephews. The family will greet friends Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs where a Scripture Service will be held at 3:00 pm. The service will be Wednesday 11:00 am at the Funeral Home with visitation at 10:00 am. Pastor Inge Whittemore officiating.
