James H. Morris

James H. Morris, 75 of Cedar Springs, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 7, 2008. Jim was born April 17, 1933 in Rockford, MI the son of Homer and Edith (Hess) Morris. He retired from the Kent County Road Commission after 37 years of service. He then worked at the Courtland Township Hall and Fire Station. He is survived by a very special friend, Mary Lou Welch; his children, Marshall (Jari) Morris, Martin Morris, Shannon Morris, Troy (Faye) Morris; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother, Bill (Wanda) Morris; sister-in-law, Rosemary Morris; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Phillip. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs, where services will be held Monday 11:00 am. Pastor Doug DiBell officiating. Interment Solon Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Michigan.
