James N. Mccowen

James Nolan McCowen age 89 of Pierson died Thursday, June 29, 2023 at his home. He was born February 20, 1934 in Bismarck, Arkansas the son of John and Sarah (Jessup) McCowen. Jim served in the Navy during the Korean War and was employed by Fisher Body for almost 32 years, retiring in 2000. He and Ginger enjoyed hunting, camping and fishing. Jim is survived by his wife, Ginger; children, Dayna Hansen, David (Pat) McCowen, Tony (Jill) McCowen, Stuart (Rachel) McCowen, Travis McCowen, Rebecca Vasquez, Narciso Vasquez; many grandchildren; great grandchildren; sister, Beth; brothers, Kenneth (Judy) McCowen, Donald. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Buddy McCowen; sisters, Geraldine Keeney, Joanne Dobbs, Linda; great grandson, Miles McCowen. Graveside services will be held 11:00 am Saturday, July 1 at Pierson Cemetery. Pastor Jim Smith officiating along with Kent County Veterans Honor Guard. Arrangements by K.E.
