James A. Lewis

James A. Lewis age 68 of Gowen died Friday, April 5, 2024 at his home with his family by his side. He was born October 17, 1955 in Grand Rapids, MI the son of Robert and Norma (Dunn) Lewis. He retired from Rowe International and sang with the Kingtones for 37 years. Surviving are his wife, Luania; children, Phillip (Rebecca) Lewis, Jayden (Elena) Lewis, Tracie Stroh; grandchildren, Garry Lewis, Cierra Stroh, Josh Ochodnicky, Carissa Stroh; great grandson, Jayse Ochodnicky; sisters, Sandy Modena, Cindy (Guy) Ingnafol; cousin, Gerry (Cindy) Lewis; many nieces and nephews who he loved and adored. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Mitch Lewis, Bruce (Cindy) Lewis. The family will greet friends Thursday, April 18 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the K.E. Pike Funeral Home where the service will be Friday, April 19 at 11:00 am. Deacon Dick Kulhawik officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Kent County. A celebration of life will be held later in the summer and will be posted on facebook when the date is set.
