James A. Jones

James A. Jones, 73 of Greenville, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at his home. Mr. Jones was born November 22, 1937 in Warsaw, NY the son of Thomas and Marion (Huff) Jones. He graduated with a degree in engineering from Ferris State University. He had worked at Frigidaire in Greenville retiring in 1990 after 42 years of service and was a member of the Moose Lodge. He enjoyed deer hunting and cooking and loved all things Irish. His children were his life and he enjoyed the family picnics. Surviving are three children, Lori Jones of Greenville, Julie Hoeve of Wyoming, Timothy (Christina) Jones of Greenville; 11 grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth Jones Swart of Kentwood, Marguerite Jones of Newaygo and fiance, Thomas Zimmerman; and nephews, Stephen and David Swart. He was preceded in death by his parents. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6-8 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs where services will be held Friday 11:00 am. Interment Elmwood Cemetery, Cedar Springs. Pastor Charles Steiner officiating.
