Ivy R. Veltkamp

Ivy R. Veltkamp 88 of Sand Lake, died Monday, April 18, 2016 at Spectrum Health – Butterworth Campus. Ivy was born December 21, 1927 in England, the daughter of Alfred and Florence (Barkley) Bennett. She was a loving, caring, and generous woman. Surviving are her daughters, Betty (Don) Kloostra, Linda (Buck) Fisk, Rita Bidstrup; grandchildren, Steve (Amy) Fisk, Chad (Jacquelynn) Fisk, Rick Simmons; step grandchildren, Bub (Brynn) Kloostra, Keith (Erin) Kloostra, Sonya (Lance) Dody, Jason (Casey) Kloostra, Cody Kloostra; great grandchildren, Melody, Tylar, Evan, Owen, Emilee; step great grandchildren, Tatum, Paityn, Tristen, Avalyn, Leeland; brother, Michael Bennett; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin in 2006 and a son, Alvin “Butch” in 1997. A memorial service will be held Saturday 3:00 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs. Interment Solon Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Friends of the Michigan Veterans Home.
