Irmgard "Irmy" Hart

Irmgard J. “Irmy” Hart 92 of Sand Lake, died Friday, November 18, 2016 at Arbor House, Traverse City. Mrs. Hart was born May 6, 1924 in Koenigsberg, Prussia. She graduated from Aquinas College and had taught first grade at both Shawnee Park and Sand Lake Elementary Schools. Surviving are her children, Gretchen (Mark) Campbell, Kristine (Dan) Broome, Eric Hart, Lisa (Dan) Vos; grandchildren, Daniel “Danny” (Cassie) Gage, Jeff Vos, Heidi (Brandon) Moles, Kelsey Campbell, Kimberly Campbell, Kelly Broome; six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband John “Jack” Hart in 1995; mother, Johanna Reuss; brother, Hugo Reuss; sister, Grete Miles. The family will greet friends Saturday, Nov. 26 from 10:00 am until 11:45 am at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home Cedar Springs. A graveside service will be held at Solon Township Cemetery at 12 noon. Following the service a luncheon will be held at the Tri-County Eagles Nest, Sand Lake. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Michigan.
